Trump vows to support oil industry
US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he plans to develop a plan to support the oil and gas industry after the price of a barrel fell to a record low the previous day, falling as low as -40 dollars a barrel.
"We will never give up on the big American oil and gas industry," the US president promised on Twitter. "I have instructed the Secretary of Energy and the Secretary of the Treasury to formulate a plan that will make the funds available so that these very important businesses and jobs are guaranteed in the long term," he said.
