Coronavirus in Belgium: 89 new infections, slightly decreasing trends continue

The latest figures published by Sciensano and the FPS Public Health indicate that the coronavirus pandemic continues to slow in Belgium.

On Tuesday, 89 new infections were reported. In addition, 57 people were discharged from the hospital, considered to be cured, and 24 were admitted. Currently, 371 beds (-24 compared to yesterday) are occupied by covid patients, including 67 (- 9) in intensive care.

Belgium has 13 new deaths in the past 24 hours, for a total of 9,675.

These figures attest to the continuing decline in the epidemic, even if this decline is now less marked than a few weeks ago.
