
Chile has registered 93 deaths from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours, a record number since the country's pandemic began in March, bringing the total to 1,541, the government said on Saturday.
Also in the past 24 hours, 5,246 new cases of contamination have been identified, for a total of 127,745 since the first case detected on March 3, according to Paula Daza, under secretary of state for public health.
