The European Union of Football Association (UEFA) announced on Wednesday that the current season’s version of the European Champions League will be completed with a mini-championship of eight clubs, and will be held in Lisbon next August.
UEFA explained after the Executive Committee meeting via video, that the quarter-final and semi-final matches will take place starting from the 12th of next August with one confrontation, instead of the home and away matches as usual, while the final match will be played on August 23.
UEFA will implement a similar system in the European League competition in German stadiums.
