United States: Donald Trump orders withdrawal of the Washington National Guard

After several days of demonstrations in Washington DC, the American president announced the withdrawal of the soldiers of the national guard of which he had ordered the deployment.

Donald Trump on Sunday ordered Washington's withdrawal of National Guard soldiers, saying the situation was now under control after days of protests linked to the death of George Floyd.

     "I just ordered our National Guard to start withdrawing from Washington DC now that everything is under control," he tweeted.

     "They will go home but can quickly return, if necessary. Far fewer protesters than planned yesterday (Saturday) evening!", He added.
