Coronavirus: Plus de 830.000 morts dans le monde


The coronavirus pandemic has killed at least 832,484 people worldwide since the WHO China office reported the onset of the disease at the end of December, according to a toll from official sources on Friday at 4 p.m. In Morocco, the contamination report shows this Thursday, August 27 at 6 p.m., 57,085 confirmed cases of 41,901 healings and 1,011 deaths.



Globally, more than 24,509,180 cases of contamination have been officially diagnosed since the start of the epidemic and at least 15,772,000 are now considered to have been cured. On the day of Thursday, 5,708 new deaths and 278,551 new cases were recorded worldwide. The countries with the most new deaths in their latest reports are India with 1,057 new deaths, Brazil (984) and the United States (931).


The United States is the most affected country in terms of both deaths and cases, with 180,857 deaths for 5,869,692 cases, according to the Johns Hopkins University count. At least 2,101,326 people have been declared cured. After the United States, the most bereaved countries are Brazil with 118,649 dead for 3,761,391 cases, Mexico with 62,594 dead (579,914 cases), India with 61,529 dead (3,387,500 cases) and the United Kingdom with 41,477 deaths (330,368 cases).


Among the hardest hit countries, Peru is the one that deplores the highest number of deaths in relation to its population, with 86 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants, followed by Belgium (85), Spain (62), the Kingdom United (61) and Italy (59). China (excluding the territories of Hong Kong and Macao) has officially counted a total of 85,013 cases (nine new between Thursday and Friday), including 4,634 deaths (no new), and 80,091 recoveries.


Latin America and the Caribbean totaled 269,253 deaths for 7,049,015 cases on Friday at 4:00 p.m., Europe 214,490 deaths (3,858,008 cases), the United States and Canada 189,992 deaths (5,996,338 cases), the Asia 93,534 deaths (4,892,207 cases), the Middle East 35,587 deaths (1,463,444 cases), Africa 28,856 deaths (1,221,628 cases) and Oceania 624 deaths (28,544 cases).
