Coronavirus in Morocco: 71 new confirmed cases






Seventy-one (71) new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) infection and 72 cures have been recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday.

This new assessment brings to 8,508 the number of contaminations in the Kingdom since the declaration of the first case on March 2 and to 7,565 the number of people fully recovered, said Dr Mouad Mrabet, coordinator of the National Center for Emergency Health Operations public at the ministry of health, in a declaration retransmitted by the MAP on its television channel M24 and on RIM RADIO.

A new death has been recorded, bringing the death toll to 211, he said, adding that the fatality rate remains at 2.5%, while the cure rate is 88.9%.

The ministry invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health security as well as the preventive measures taken by the authorities, demonstrating responsibility and patriotism.
